Policies


We understand situations arise when you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To do so, we request you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer your appointment slot to another client on our waiting list.


1. Cancel/ Reschedule Appointments:

We require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.    


2. Consultation Fee:

Your first appointment will be for a consultation. We charge a non-refundable consultation fee of $75 for wedding dresses to book this appointment. 


3. Subsequent Appointments (fitting, pinning, etc.):

Your event is important to us. We are willing to work with you to schedule the best time for your fitting and pinning appointments. The complexity of your alteration dictates how far in advance we need to schedule these appointments. Please allow us a minimum of 2 months (for simple alterations) to 4 months (for complex alterations) in advance of pick-up.


4. Rush Fee:

A rush fee is applied when clients provide 3 weeks or less time to alter the garment. Rush jobs will be accepted only if our schedule allows. Management reserves the right to turn down rush jobs. 



5. Change Orders

After the consultation the next appointment is for a first fitting. At that time the client will be charged to begin the alteration. 


If, after the first fitting, significant changes are requested by the client or required due to changes (such as weight gain or loss- for example) that require new alterations- a new price, in addition to the original price, will be given for the changes. Payment for new alterations will be required to continue the work.


The decision to charge for a new alteration, or to continue an alteration, is at the sole discretion of Elena's Bridal Alteration Shop management. Change orders that leave less than 3 weeks of time to work may incur a rush fee.   

   

6. Exceptions:

We recognize emergencies and special circumstances can occur. Exceptions to our policies are made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Elena's Bridal Alteration Shop management.
